Shakti Tribe performed at the Creative Living Fellowship in Phoenix, Arizona on Oct. 16, 2011.  It was an amazing night with the energy reaching new heights for the band and the audience.  Rev. Dr. Michele Whittington was dancing on the pews, the audience was up on their feet the whole night, and the band rocked it.  We all felt the love, peace, and unity that music can bring.  A couple weeks after our performance, we got an unexpected surprise from Deborah Covington, the head of finances for CLF.  The Board of Trustees met and they decided to tithe to the Shakti Tribe Foundation.  We received two donations,  one from the Board of Regents, this is the educational arm of CLF, and one from CLF the ministerial arm for a total of $1,064.  This important tax-deductible donation will help fund travel, hand-outs, and band stipends as we create Peace through music, yoga, mantra, and meditation in prisons, jails, schools, and drug recovery centers.  The band is so grateful for the CLF generosity in support of the Shakti Tribe Foundation mission.  Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you and much love.
